JC virus index.
Hello everyone, I'm new here. Going through my 6th tysabri infusion, just got the results for the JC test and I'm positive. My index is 2.14. Should I be worried?

Hi ya ! I am on tysabri as well and have been for two years and two months. I was positive for the jcv as well and while I can’t remember my result I do remember being told that most people do test positive. I was very worried about it all the start but when I got my first set of mri results back and it showed no further progression - those concerns faded. At the two year mark I was given the choice of whether to continue with tysabri - the risks increase at that point but I elected to stick with it, even with the risks. It means more MRIs more often but it is to make sure that they are keeping a very close eye on any possible risks. Hope this helps
Hi, I have been on it for 8 years and been JC positive for 3 of those years and I am not particularly worried. Tend to feel that the risk-reward is still heavily in favour of the Tysabri given the trajectory my MS was on. Assume you are on extended interval dosing? If not then you need to discuss this with your MS team
