Newly diagnosed

👋🏻 I’m a 29 y/o female. I was diagnosed just this week and still coming to terms with things, and waiting on various other tests and being allocated a team. I had cancer in 2019-2020 and had been putting recent symptoms down to post cancer fatigue. After having strange spasms, crawling sensations, awful memory, concentration, dizziness and fatigue, I managed to book a neurologist appt through my private health insurance through work. I already have known peripheral nerve damage but the neurologist wasn’t expecting what came out in the brain scan and nor was I. I had a cervical and brain mri and was told the brain scan was typical of someone in MS. He did say I have some lesions in odd places but in the same breath said each MS person us different. He mentioned that my scan showed brain stem involvement. I’m now waiting on a lumbar puncture and various other tests. I had a scan during chemotherapy which showed white lesions but they said it was just likely to do with chemotherapy so I’ve asked my neurologist to compare. I’ve a feeling I’ve had this for a while and I’ve been putting the symptoms down to my cancer journey.
