What if MS was curable?

I have just come off the back of a v heartening 2 day conference entitled MS At The Limits. It was a completely research focused agenda and half of it was devoted exclusively to women and over half of the research content was driven by females. Quite refreshing given that MS is affecting an ever growing proportion of females to males. Roughly 2 of 3 new diagnoses are female patients. Big thing: MS is not a disease with benign patches. It is ALWAYS there and is busy doing irreversible damage to you whether or not you are having symptoms. It is smouldering away. This message s one of the he big changes in thinking and is no longer a fringe idea. Personally: I have learned that in MS terms I am a very old fart and from all the data shown regarding progression and cognitive impairment, I am dodging streams of bullets. So yes, I am odd in many more ways than I knew. That aside. The thoughts are moving towards a cure, or certainly a halt. The caveat is that you need to get it soon and not 26y into the process! Interesting read from one of the conference chairs. https://multiple-sclerosis-research.org/2020/01/curing-ms/ If you are relatively new into this bloody disease and are willing to grasp the nettle and attack it back then there are chances now that were previously unimaginable. Like it is said, you need to find the right neuro. There were many at the meeting.

That comes with its risks too tho, fair play to anyone that’s got the bull by it’s danglers and took the leap. I’d rather let the fecker smoulder and spend the time Iv got left not worrying about it. Some will say I’m stupid but I’d rather be something like and spend time with my family.

Thanks @dominics; I couldn’t get it to load, is it slides or a clip?
