Rach is having a tough time atm

9 days after she got her stem-cells re infused Rach has got a nasty infection. This often happens in the recovery period. Not great but the transplant team are on top of it. It means an awful lot to Rachel when she reads your messages of support in the comments on the video. It has been incredibly brave to share her whol HSCT journey with theMSguide. Rach also welcomes any questions you might have. https://youtu.be/yz5bbzW5wkI

Incredibly tough Rach! You’re doing great. There have been several different hiccups for this procedure, but they’ve got you, and will get it treated. Sorry you had this happen. I don’t even remember what happened to me. I just know I had to have an MRI because I fell in my sleep! I was on Ambien! Go figure! I also had to have blood transfusion, I can’t remember why? I do remember the long list of meds they gave me at discharge. ThenI had to decide which ones I actually needed. It can all be so overwhelming! Keep healing and doing your best! This one’s not great for us type A people who go, go, go, one speed all the time. You’ve been totally depleted, and your baby system is brand new! So treat yourself kindly, babies take baby steps after all. Hope your body starts healing as the baby white cells start doubling! HUGE HUGS!!
