Pregnancy and Conception

Hi, It says on the MS Trust Website: "If you are trying for a family, your MS nurse or neurologist may recommend remaining on Tysabri until conception, then review whether you should continue treatment during pregnancy based on how active your MS has been and the risk that you might have a significant relapse." Does that mean it is okay to conceive whilst on Tysabri, but then if you're a woman you may have to come off Tysabri whilst preganant? Or does it mean you can remain on Tysabri until you decide to conceive? I'm sure it's not as complicated as I'm finding it!! Thanks.

Dear @cymro I am not on any DMD, but my friend is on Tysabri. She takes it every month so her Neurologist (in Ireland) said: if we top you up every month then we consider it to be gone by the end of the month, so that is when you are safe to try. So my friend was definitely off her meds/didn't have meds in her body when she started trying. Your MS nurse will be able to say, but it's good for you to have advice re. what others have experienced. Best of luck with everything, lucyh xx
