Siponimod or not? MRI fear!!

Phone consult with neurologist yesterday. New MRI needed to check for new or ongoing activity with a view to possibly being given siponimod. Anyone taking this medication? How do you feel & are you suffering with any side effects? Absolutely petrified of small tight spaces so proves very difficult to undertake MRI especially on the brain. I’m only just being referred and I want to hide and weep so I’m gonna be useless when I get my date through!! Open MRI discussed but apparently not an option as they not detailed enough for what they need to check for 😩 Feel totally sick 🤢 at the thought of having to go through it again 😢
@lemon

I'm not sure this will be helpful re MRI but I'm also quite claustrophobic and what I do is close my eyes before going into the scanner and not open them until I'm out. I try to think about other stuff while I'm there and if my thoughts wonder to the scanner I try to focus on the fact that half of my body is out and I could easily get out any moment I want to after pressing the button. Good luck with it, I hope you will be able to work out some strategy that works for you.

@Clr1. Like @Lemon I keep my eyes shut the whole time. I also make sure I have the ear plugs and headphones. Also I try to think of songs that sound like the machine or visualise a favourite walk or what I do because I have a boat is see how far I can get through a lock flight I know. The technician/ nurses are generally very nice. Try not to worry too much. X
