MAVENCLAD 2ND WEEK EFFECTS

Hey everyone, was just curious if anyone has taken MAVENCLAD and if they found that the second week (week 5) affected them more or less than the first? In terms of side effects or feeling sick, etc.

@chris_atallah , no personal experience, but you might find some answers by selecting the "Mavenclad" tag that has been added automatically to the foot of your post above. This will locate other's experiences on this treatment.

Heyy Chris ! Unfortunately I did find the second does had a greater impact on me ! I was fatigued more and felt more nausea. It disappeared after a month tho !

@a_girls_gotta_eat thanks for the info! That's actually very reassuring. I wanted to see if anyone else had similar experiences feeling that so that I could reassure myself why I'm feeling fatigued and crummy. I hope you're doing well!

@chris_atallah no problem ! I know this is random but I feel like I’m the only one from Egypt/ Sudan that has MS ! Where are you from ?

@Chris_Atallah

@a_girls_gotta_eat I doubt you are the only one! And I'm in Canada but my family is from Jordan.

I felt achy and sick when I took both my first year and second year, my lymphocytes have come back up to 1.21 so getting there, only thing I've noticed is I've had little, soft bumps appear on my collarbone and Dr Google is bad 🤦🏻‍♀️. Just wondering if anyone knows about it doing that to you? 😊

@Stumbler

@chezy17 , it's to stop your bra straps slipping off inadvertently! But seriously, you know what you need to do - for the sake of peace of mind. Go and get it checked.

Hi Chris. I didn’t notice anything different, it was all, fortunately, pretty straightforward and uneventful apart from the journeys to the Royal London hospital. Are you having the injections?

Jillisa_Pierson

@Jillisa_Pierson

I’m just starting my second month now and it has been soooo much harder than the first.

@Lea_Jeffreys

I must have been lucky as the only side effect I had was a constant headache.

@Jillisa_Pierson, Today I will take my last dose of Mavenclad year 1, week 1. (16-20 April, 2021) Can you expand on how cycle 2 differed for you? I knew going into Mavenclad that I might get a bad taste and a headache. So I planned on eating a few things I knew worked for the bad taste of IV steroids (this bad taste was minuscule compared with the steroids) and took Ibuprofen and Paracetamol 3 hours prior to my Mavenclad. I also took Mavenclad at 9pm so I could just go to sleep shortly after. What was you experience with week 1 and the subsequent cycle 3 weeks later? When did you take the second week (how far behind you am I)? How are you feeling now? Thanks ever so, Emma

A bit more fatigues, headache and nausea - super lightheaded sometimes. I finished Year 1 in February. I wrote about my experience, if you click on Mavenclad, you can find me.
