While ur pregnant MS sleeps!!

However, it is thought that women who have unrecognized MS may be more likely to begin having symptoms during pregnancy. Some studies have found that MS symptoms decrease in pregnancy and increase during the postpartum (after delivery) period. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. When I was pregnant yes MS DISSAPEARED I felt fantastic, it must be the hormones or something cause I felt like a new person, why can't they do test on this mystery !!
@Pinkyx

Did you have to come off the meds months before you got pregnant... Or did you come off them when u found out... It would be helpful to know.... Thanks so much. X

I wish "they" would get a move on and do lots more overdue research regarding hormones effect on MS! It's blindingly obvious how much hormones affect us women with MS & men too! Even though I was last pregnant 20 years ago now I well remember I did feel fantastic! But now every month when due all my symptoms are magnified! Urgh! - Lol like now!!! The hormone progesterone is raised during pregnancy and is low before a period - also the hormone estradiol is abundant during pregnancy! More research needed. Lots of women have found the Mirena coil helpful for MS symptoms (raises progesterone) or the pill has helped. I'm wanting to try some estradiol but it comes with risks so need to ask an interested GP! Also estradiol is neuro protective. @anawith1n - How are you getting on with Copaxone? Xxx
