Vitamin D and B12

I was diagnosed with RRMS In Feb this year. I started Tecfidera in April (fine so far, just a few hot flushes every now and then). When diagnosed my neurologist recommended I take 2000 units of vitamin d a day as my levels are low. I have been taking 2000 units a day since then. However, I was just wondering how much vitamin D everyone else takes? I've read that 4000 units would be more beneficial but just wondered what most of you take? Also does anyone else take a vitamin B12 supplement and if so how much?

@kerrys , here's a tad of information on both vitamins:- http://www.mstrust.org.uk/atoz/vitaminb12.jsp http://www.mstrust.org.uk/atoz/vitamind.jsp For my part, I take the Mssesntial multi supplement (https://www.mssential.com/). That contains 5,000iu of D3 and an inordinate amount of B12. Although the body can get rid of any excess B vitamins naturally.
