Lemtrada - question

Hello This is my first post here. I need advice from anyone who has had Lemtrada or has knowledge about it. I've been told by an MS nurse that to start Lemtrada you must be relapse free for the 8 weeks previous. Can anyone tell me if this is the rule everywhere and what the reasons might be? I'm worried because I've had 4 relapses in the last 6 months and I want to start treatment asap after my baby is born in November but the way things are going it's pretty likely I'll relapse again beforehand. Thanks in advance

I can't say that I've seen anything mentioned about this requirement. We have a couple of members ( @US-Emma & @vasy ), who have firsthand experience of Lemtrada, so I'll see if they can answer this question. :wink:

Hi @lornies Did not heard about this requirement. The possible reason is that Lemtrada comes with the infusion reaction which makes all your MS symptoms worse temporarily. Although they give you steroids for that. BR, Vasiliy.
