Hi ghada, I’ve had optic neuritis a few times and I think unfortunately that’s what you may have. There’s not really any treatment for it (that I have been told) but my first relapse was optic neuritis and I went to see an opthamologist(sp?) and had some different tests.
In my opinion the best thing is to not get overheated or exert yourself too much as that can increase bluryness, pain etc.
Also, my new neurologist told me at my first appointment with him that usually when Optic Neuritis is the first relapse, the prognosis is alot better.

Hi, I had optic neuritis a long time ago – I lost the sight in my left eye for about a month, the sight returned and although that eye is worse than the right one now I can see fine. I also had a period of double vision for about 6 weeks a few years ago, no treatment was available but it did get better. Hold on in there.

My first attack was double vision -both eyes are seeing the same perfect picture, but your brain isn’t in control of co-ordinating their movement. I have 20/20 vision. I had to get clear glasses, in which I wore prisms, given to meat the eye hospital. I had it for 8 months, didn’t get better gradually, just went away one day.
Once diagnosed, can get steroids for any future attacks.

My diagnosis-attack was optic neuritis, I went on steroids right away, 3 days of IV and 8 days of oral, and my vision was back by the end, except that eye has a little different “color vision”.
